b2 (php), MovableType (perl) or Nucleus (php) are the way to go if you ask me. The requirements are pretty much the script language (perl or php) and a mySQL database. Couldn’t be easier. It also helps if all of this is run on a Unix box btw.
The reason I picked Nucleus was probably because the search feature and easy archiving. Basically, the only real problem so far has been uploading files to the media directory. It seems host.sk forces php to run in safe mode (among other things it disables the ability to make directories using php). Go blogging …
