Finally, it arrived. What am I talking about? The new IKEA catalogue of course! The 2003 edition of the IKEA catalogue went into distribution a week ago and the wait felt almost like an eternity.
I haven’t had time to more than skim through it yet but so far I am impressed .. really impressed. As usual I suppose. I would expect nothing less. It is a little like coming back from a near-death-experience I suppose, you realize how much fun it is to be alive. The arrival of the IKEA catalogue should really be standardized and made into a holiday here. At least if you ask me 
Tons of stuff you gotta buy and tons of ideas on how to decorate your home.
The best thing about this years catalogue is that it is in fact split into FIVE parts. First there is the main product catalogue and then there are four minor updates (with the first already included) being sent out during the next “IKEA-year”.
Another big thing, at least for me, is that the store in Jönköping (which is by far the closest to my location) is expanding to an almost unbelievable 22.000 sq m. Hopefully that will remedy the only real problem with IKEA. The problem being that there never seems to be enough storage space and thus many items are constantly out of stock.
I’m going to make a list of my personal favorites in this years collection right here in the blog as soon as I calm down a little
