Regarding the undeclared Djangos package (Mortal Kombat, Demolition Man): It pays off to be persistent. Not only did Djangos compensate me for their error (gift cert. if you remember), today I also received a formal reply from the Customs dept. Simple enough, they are refunding both the tax (51SEK) and the logistics fee (63SEK). I [...]

Djangos chose to refund me with 10 dollar gift certificate for the inconvenience. Great service. Now all I have to do is wait around for the next period of free shipping.

The Aloe / Agave project has been temporarily suspended. For the season anyway. One unit of Aloe was previously acquired and is doing well indoors under artificial lighting. They really are amazing organisms. One of my favorite plants for sure.
So, the craving for spiny plants is filled for the moment. We’ll see what happens next [...]
Project advancements: Fluorescent Tubes.
I got hold of two more second hand fluorescent tube fixtures. Lucky me. One 2×58W and one 1×58W (both with EM ballasts). Haven’t been able to test them yet but I am confident I can refurbish the units.
