Project advancements: Fluorescent Tubes.
I got hold of two more second hand fluorescent tube fixtures. Lucky me. One 2×58W and one 1×58W (both with EM ballasts). Haven’t been able to test them yet but I am confident I can refurbish the units.
Also I have an option for more units like these, should I want them. I payed like 50 SEK each for the fixtures and I consider that to be a steal. No one else seemed to be interested so .. I doubt they will disappear any time soon. It’s so typical. I mean, we’re talking electronics here, and stuff that isn’t in working condition out-of-the-box. It certainly pays off to be handy 
I also had an idea to replace the reactors/ballasts with electronic counterparts. In any case I will replace the glow starters with electronic starters in order to prolong the life of the tubes. Tricks of the trade, tricks of the trade ..
Lets face it, autumn is here and we don’t want SAD do we? So this is kind of el cheapo light therapy at home. Or just trying to create a professional working environment. Read the project description for more info.
