Telia and my DSL account ..

It has now been five (5) days and Telia still haven’t rid me of their despicable ADSL service. This stinks if you ask me. Sure, you can get an account and have a technician switch a couple of thingies within a day or two .. and then have a functional account within little over a week. But when you want out it takes 5+ days before they lift a finger and about 20 more days before you can have an operational account with a competing provider.

How come one provider gets the job done much quicker even though they both buy the service and bandwidth from the same source and use the same technicians? And why does it take 2 days to get on the list but more than 5 to get off it? Is it in fact so, that Telia are deliberately trying to bind customers quickly and then haul the seperation process forever? Hmm? This is nothing I can prove of course but it seems possible given the kind of stunts Telia have pulled in the past. It’s like the company is made up of leftover KGB personnel. God knows. It is entirely possible anyway.
