Nucleus v2 includes numerous improvements such as:

- Import/export skins as XML
- Post to past option
- New skin- and templatevars vars are available
- Improved karma voting (positive and negative total is stored instead of grand total)
- Admin Area improvements: batch operations
- Media library now allows multiple collections (one private to the site member, the rest globally shared amongst all users)
- Optional Fancy URLs: http://example.org/item/1234 instead of http://example.org/index.php?itemid=1234
- Plugins can now also be used from comment templateparts
- More events available for plugin authors to subscribe on
- Lots of other bug fixes and improvements

It’s good to see that dev. continues unlike with some other slacker scripts out there (you know who you are!). I feel I made the right choice committing to Nucleus.
