Comments on the hardware:

Finally a good pair of headphones for the portable audio project (all I need now is a carrying solution). KOSS PORTA PRO is a timeless classic in its field. Nothing can compare even after 15 years on the market. The bass is a bit hefty but it works well with the type of music that I listen to.
Also I decided to ditch the idea to get a new speaker set for the main setup in favor of the AUDIO 90. I know I could get a much better audio solution for the same money but hardly a headset. It’s time to add another dimension to online gaming and communication.

About the DESKSTAR, I really had no choice. My current 60 GB drive is WAAAY to small for what I’m playing around with. I think I had like 300 MB free earlier today. *shudder* With this addition I can comfortably share 70 - 80 GB of data on DC and still have lots of room for other things. Plus I can look into the matter of the “whining” that the 60 GB 180GXP drive is making. Some people would bash IBM. But I don’t know. I have no reason to think that they hold up any worse than the rest of the hard drives on the market. Sure I had to RMA one 40GB 60GXP and I’ve had to others act “strangely” but then again I’ve been treating them pretty badly.
A new KEYBOARD is almost never wrong. Especially since you’ve pretty much busted your old one with years of active gaming. And I threw in a pack of VERBATIM while I was at it. Can never have too many blank CDRs you know. This broadband thing is really consuming.

Hopefully I can get both packages today, even if only one has been processed by the local post office. I’ll get down there and nag and shout and intimidate them until they comply.
