The weather has been almost tropical these last couple of days. Almost not bearable if you have to be outside in the sun and actually do some work. One final burst before the long autumn I suppose. So much to do and so little time …

As always when it gets a little warmer than usual the speculation starts. Did you ever hear the story about the boy who cried “green house effect” once too many? “Extreme climate” is a term that I’ve heard a lot lately. Extreme compared to what? Compared to your cosy little bed, flawed architecture and zero knowledge about meteorology / climatology I am sure. Don’t get me wrong, the anthropogenic variations in the climate on this planet could be dire. But the sky is not exactly falling. If we as a species with all our technology can’t adapt to this little glitch (natural or otherwise) in the global climate then maybe we should say hello to natural selection. Get a goddamn canoe …

Work: I don’t know about the rest of you but personally I am surprised to find a pair of handcuffs and a meat axe / tenderizer in the same shrubbery. Someone has obviously been up to some seriously kinky stuff Only two more days to go …

Hiking: Turned down this year’s best hiking opportunity. Maybe all this babbling about outdoor activities is just a facade. Maybe I’m a big fraud. Or maybe I just mislead people with my appearance. We’re all pretty shallow when it comes down to it.

DSL: DSL has had some downtime for the last couple of days. Could have something to do with the Blaster worm. Who knows. Pretty darn annoying but no panic since Suprnova has been a little flakey as well.
