Another stunning delivery by DiscAtOnce. I only ordered 2×25 Datawrite Classic / Yellow but I think that it’ll keep my occupied for a while .. I hope. For starters I’m gonna waste 12 discs on getting 6 seasons of Stargate SG-1 off my harddrive. Same goes for MacGyver even though I’m only half way through that one.
Anyway, I’m glad I finally found a relatively cheap disc that _works_ (not well but only because Princo is still not good quality) with the Lite-ON 401S/411S. As pointed out by some, these Princo discs could spell trouble once you want to play them on another type of platform like a stand-alone dvd. But I’ll deal with that when the day comes. Why brood over it.

I will post a couple of more KPROBE scans in the forum later.

Edit: Uh oh. This is not going well. I should know better than to jump to conclusions. Dang. Bottom line? None of the 4-5 discs I’ve burnt have turned out nearly as well as the sample disc I did last week. This batch is in fact similar to the other Princo discs that were included in the sample pack. I.e. really bad towards the end of the disc / burn.
One of them turned out to be a coaster even. The others are Ok but difficult to read from at times. My Hitachi dvd-rom has got some serious issues with these discs as well, even those that appear ok in KPROBE and are readable using the burner. Huh.
