Just being a little sarcastic. Obviously I did nothing productive today. Nothing that will leave a lasting impression anyway. So lets sum up today’s work on the site …

Image overlay with PHP and GD: Finally learned how to use GD functions to overlay PNG data on top of other images. Usefulness = more or less zero .. but cool nevertheless. I was thinking of using it for the webcam in order to overlay a message to the last uploaded image in case a certain time has passed since image creation and the feed can be considered offline.

Cron Daemon: This is a nifty feature that I previously haven’t bothered with. But once I sat down and thought about it I realized I could put it to good use. Currently I use Cron Jobs to clean certain cache directories from excess data. Such as the cache from the above script.
Not sure if I even want to connect to Webalizer (stats) any more though. I mean how interesting are the stats now that Google has stumped the site?

VideoDB: The VideoDB is malfunctioning again. It’s the IMDB import functions of course. Seems they never were properly fixed in the last release. Very annoying. Worked flawlessly for over a week. I’m clueless.

Nucleus time offset problem: Still not fixed. The support thread over at the official forums has amounted to a bug report but no progress so far. Another error that just appeared out of the blue.
The scenario is still the same. Every last page in the Nucleus system (even admin interface) adds an extra 9 hours to the item post time when displaying the templates and skins. I would readily go and rewrite the core but the thing is that it USED TO WORK. Neither the code nor my settings have changed so I doubt there is anything I can accomplish that way.
