This and that

Another week, another monday. I noticed that Google has redesigned their site. Although their concept of redesign is a bit vague. But I like it. It’s simple. And simplicity rules the world as far as I am concerned. Still using a table based design also. Instead of jumping the all css bandwagon. At least there [...]

PHP-4-ABC and WAP

Another week another practical way to use WAP. The (Yet) Another Bittorrent Client (ABC) does already have a script to communicate via WAP in the form of PHP-4-ABC and the built in Web Interface Service. However, due to limitations of my particular wireless device and certain validation problems with the code I have been unable [...]

Weblog listings

I decided it was about time to try and replenish the drop in visitors that I’ve had since Google decided to change its spidering algorithms (or whatever they did). There are now a whole bunch of pixel size buttons, way down on the right side of this page to indicate which listings I am registered [...]

MySQL downtime

The database crashed over night. According to tech support it had become corrupted for no apparent reason. Hmm. Must look into this.
Anyway, shouts go out to 99kronor support for seamlessly fixing the database within 30 min of posting a support request.
<Edit> The restoration also caused the MySQL and PHP / Server time to re-align themselves. [...]

Currency By WAP

I had little to do so I made a currency converter for WAP using the CurConv class. It works. And it’s better than the services I have seen so far, because it is slimmed down to just the bare essentials.
Instead of entering ISO codes to select a currency, you can choose the ISO code from [...]

W3 Validation

Normally I don’t care much for valid html code. Perhaps it was my recent encounter with WAP / WML that made me think twice. I guess we have all become very comfortable with out highly tolerant PC browsers and have forgot past experiences.
Anyway, I spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get the [...]

Wap Site

Revamped the WAP site (wap.battleangel.org) up to a point where it can actually be called a site.
Since WML interpretation is a little flakey I wouldn’t be surprised if people run into problems, especially with the Weblog. Not terribly useful, and WML 1.1 is getting rather old, but fun to play around with nevertheless.
I’m thinking of [...]

Moblogs - Photos

Progress is relentless in some aspects. If you don’t make an effort to keep up then you WILL be left behind, no matter how good your excuses are. And is it just me or is the wheel of ingenuity spinning so fast nowadays that everything seems to come half baked out of the oven?
One of [...]
