The database crashed over night. According to tech support it had become corrupted for no apparent reason. Hmm. Must look into this.
Anyway, shouts go out to 99kronor support for seamlessly fixing the database within 30 min of posting a support request.

<Edit> The restoration also caused the MySQL and PHP / Server time to re-align themselves. Had to remove all the UNIX_TIMESTAMP modifications I’d made to the Nucleus code but it was for the better. Maybe that could give a clue as to the cause of the failure? </edit>
