I realized I had overwritten the Nucleus comment form templates last time I updated the script. Should be OK now.
Also I had to write a completely new database fetching routine for the “Videobox”. It seems the old template based system that is used internally by VideoDB wasn’t functioning while integrated with Nucleus. Always gave some error code like “wrong database version” on first load only to be gone on reloading the page. Apparently, the runSQL function had redundant code that messed up the simple display that I wanted.
(2004-08-15) ALSO I made an image thumbnail function using imagecopyresampled as a basis. Much better than the default VideoDB way of using browser “resize” functions to just scale the image to a certain value. Don’t know if it still does that though. The things is that during the summer, development of VideoDB has surged. Latest version is now 2004-08-01. Haven’t upgraded yet. Must bring myself up to date on what changes I have applied to the core programming before I overwrite any files. Documentation, documentation.
(2004-08-15) Ahhh, never should have attempted that upgrade. Can’t seem to get certain parts of the script to work now. And re-writing the VideoDB inclusion module for the portal took a couple of hours. Working to resolve the remaining issues.
(2004-08-16) Ok, ok, this time I’ve really fixed it. Everything is working ok. The install script has been deleted. Login is back (someone took a potshot at this vulnerability). And the portal module really, really works this time.
