Seriously considering setting up categories for the blog. As the last blogger in the world to do that probably. Hmm. It’s getting a bit disorderly here and mixing politics with my gardening interest is perhaps not such a good thing. At any rate, I like to complicate things so I looked around for a DHTML script and found code for a menu that I modified somewhat: DHTML Switch Menu
I’m looking for a nice way to load the latest 5 or so posts from all categories to the front page and then let the user browse them without having them A) all visible at once and B) without having to reload the page. Obviously it is easy enough to access just one category through Nucleus, but that is not what I want.
Also, I applied a small fix to the Coppermine SSI (yes, still using it even though it is deprecated). It seems it didn’t send image height and width with the IMG output tag(s). Now it does. Since I use a PNG HACK to rectify the PNG alpha inability in IE, all PNG images are overlaid with a specific image (transparent.gif). If PNG images lack height / width information it all falls apart.
Also tried to fix up my CSS LI and UL tags. Not that it is difficult normally. It’s just something with the nested tables that make up the blog display, and once more, that IE and Firefox seem to have a 20px difference of opinion.
