I’ve installed the first sketchy template and activated Mambo for Silent Nation (silent-nation.com).
In other news, I’ve given Pang Musik! (pangmusik.se) I slight facelift. Still a work in progress though. Always a work in progress. Just as it should be.
About the future of Mambo, I’m not so sure. I’ve neither seen nor heard anything further about the html template system or the XML-RPC link. Should be committed to CVS I know. But we all know how it is with CVS. And I reckon that new patTemplate (if they haven’t changed their mind again) script will mean considerable recoding and editing. I hope they also do some sort of administration interface to control the template elements, like Nucleus has, but anything is fine with me. I can’t believe people are moaning about Mambo not being internationalized when the script still has hard coded html and no XML-RPC or similar API. Priorities people! It’s apparent that most users suck at web design and can’t fathom why hard coded design elements would be so bad.
