February logfiles

It’s been quite a long time since I really looked through the stats for battleangel.org. Well, February was a good month by all accounts. Consumed almost half my allotted bandwidth quota (4.64 Gig) and attracted between 17.000 unique visitors (awstats) and 26.000 visits (webalizer).

I couldn’t help but notice how search strings were heavily dominated by [that mmorpg] …

1 252 4.32% [that mmorpg]
2 211 3.62% [that mmorpg]
3 203 3.48% girl porn

It’s not like I’m hiking the stats by purposely doing a post on [that mmorpg]. It’s in my best interest to investigate the subject since it involves so much more than just [that mmorpg] per se. But still, I can’t help but feel kind of guilty somehow. I just hope all those people got at least one step closer to finding what they were looking for. Rule of acquisition #19 “Satisfaction is not guaranteed.”

It’s funny that this dreary post should rise, thanks to bots, to become the third most viewed post on the site or something. Hence I’ve performed some censorship now.
