You can never get enough of grass it seems. As I mowed the lawn this afternoon I took a few close-ups of the grass to see how well the mulcher knives were working.

And now I know. They aren’t. Even though I replaced the entire disc last year. My guess is that every other lawn looks like this. But is that any excuse? For the uninitiated, the point is that the blades should have a clean and straight shearing edge. But these obviously don’t. Far from it. The rough and jagged edges makes the grass “bleed” water and after a few days the tip of the blade will be all dried up and dead.

Yet another reason to move to a Cylinder (Hand) Mower.
