2. Any of two families of small parasitic arachnids with barbed proboscis; feed on blood of warm-blooded animals.
No summer is complete without ticks. Though I still haven’t seen any reports of ticks actually being a vector for any sort of diseases, like Borrelia, in this area. One thing is for sure though … I need a macro lens.
