I really need to toss that old AOpen HX08 out the window. Now the question is what to replace it with. Something that isn’t too brash or too expensive. Chieftec comes to mind of course, but they have three models that are, except for the front, somewhat difficult to distinguish.

Even though the HX08 is a full tower case, the Chieftec design still manages to improve on the size adding several centimeters in depth and height. And they all have handy 120 and 80 mm fan placements. And those smart hard drive bays that go sideways and have optional cooling fans. Now keep in mind that my HX08 is the first draft of the HX08. AOpen later changed a few things around and kept the name. If I had only had a newer revision, this whole thing could have been helped. Oh well.
Seems to me there aren’t that many FULL tower cases out there. At least not if you consider the aforementioned requirements. Most people either want lights, bells and whistles or they go for a midi tower.
