I guess there is still hope after Richard Dean Anderson.

One thing that has been bothering me increasingly is the projected image of the US that is present in both SG-1 and to some extent Atlantis. I am irked by the sneaky flag waving and militarism that I feel has increased over the last couple of seasons. More in your face Americanism. But maybe it’s just me and my acute sense of superpatriotism coupled with my newfound anti-american position.
