New ITAB Catalogue

Is out. Robust clothes at decent prices. No fannying about.

Network slow-downs and drops

I seem to have fixed whatever caused the stand by issues in Windows XP. Suspend to ram (S3) that is. At least on the two workstations I’ve tried.
The LAN issue entailed the network access slowing down to a point where you could surf but not sent files or stream video. 100MBPS effectively became around 100 [...]

Purevision drawbacks

Hmm. “Cracked” another Purevision lens. Or tore the side rather. The last time it happened I had worn the lenses for over nine months .. but now it’s only been like four months. I guess they aren’t as sturdy as I imagined.
Material defect or my handling? The latter more likely. I get that they aren’t [...]

Item Layout

Took the item layout from the default nucleus skin and installed the ShowBlogs plugin for paged navigation. So much better. Also, the TitleList plugin was updated for the archive page.

Fluorescent bulbs

Just got around to replacing the bulbs in all outdoor lighting fixtures with fluorescent bulbs. One does what one can to conserve energy.

Sink

Maybe one should take the time to clean the bathroom sink drain more often. Like before it clogs up. Oh crap. One more bathroom sink, one shower and one lovely kitchen sink left.

IKEA Friday

So I spent the day vacationing at my local IKEA store. Consumer lifestyle.

Also I found that IKEA actually has one model of Melon Baller and Lemon Zester (grater). No kitchen should go without ballers and zesters. Also, I got some more kitchen utensils. New glasses and that kind of thing. Too bad I forgot about [...]
