BitMe.org

Wow. That was about time. BitMe.org has proven to be, by far, the most difficult Torrent community to join. I caught a lucky break this weekend though.

BitMe embodies all that is great with P2P, the promise of broadening the public mind, keeping information free and accessible. BitMe is an e-learning only tracker. Essentially that means, according to the upload rules …

- E-learning videos
- Instructional e-books or audiobooks
- Documentaries
- College lectures/courses
- Design plugins
- Web templates
- Multimedia production volumes/models
- Language learning applications
- Computer based training applications

    Battle:
Congratulations!! You are lucky. I’ve been frantically trying to join, but they seem to have filled their quota and are only accepting "invites" only. Any chance you know someone or you yourself would invite me. Seems like we have to get our "foot in the door" and evidently you have.
If you are willing to invite, please sent a message to my hotmail account: fmn__@hotmail.com. If you would put bitme.org in the subject line it would help me locate it.
I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.

    Jouir

P.S. I’m mainly interested in the Japanese learning applications.

Well, the problem is that I haven’t gotten any invites. In fact I haven’t even been able to break the 6.5 GB limit that removes that pesky delay. But I’m close. Like many "elitist" trackers there is a delay on seeding as well so getting your numbers up is tricky. At least if you’re on a slow connection.

I assume invites are a power user thing though. I’ll keep it in mind.

Been checking for opening slots for sometime now, i first thought that since i don’t know anyone inside i propably won’t get an invite. Now noticing that i most likely will not find an open slot either i decided to give it a desperate try.

So if anyone can, please do send an invite to:

    magicalmanda69@yahoo.com

    Thanks in advance.

If anyone can help these people feel free to. Because alas I cannot. BitMe seems to be getting full and the admins changed the requirements for invites. As I understand it, when you have uploaded 50GB no less, you are eligible for 2 measly invites.

And obviously I assume that the BitMe staff may disapprove of this sort of invite fishing. So it’s your risk to take.

Ouch. That would explain why it is so hard to get an invite to BitMe right now. I’ve searched for quite some time and found absolutely nothing. Well, back to searching.

Case closed. Here is a snippet from their site:

We do not want to see invite threads/posts on other boards! We will be actively scanning all the boards (yes, we’re pretty sure we know of all of them) for these types of threads. Participating in these threads puts everyone here at risk and proves that you are not responsible enough to stay here. So:

ANYONE found participating in these threads will be banned. We will investigate all new signups and if they are found to be from one of these threads/posts, we will disable their account and the person who invited them.

Be discreet, invite people you trust. Thanks for your cooperation.
