I got an email from eNom, apparently not a scam as far as I can tell.
This message is a reminder to help you keep the contact data associated with your domain registration up-to-date.As of October 31, 2003 we are required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to send you this reminder by the Anniversary date of each registered Domain Name that is subject to the terms and conditions of that organization.
And whoever said that ICANN doesn’t have a bad influence. I of course scurried to obscure the WHOIS information as best I could. I do not like to that information wide open for everyone to see. Especially not if the information you deal in is highly unpopular or controversial.
So bottom line, I just renewed my other two domains. And while I was at it I consolidated Silent Nation with a snazzier design based on the same template and updated many of the plugins relating to spam catching. Also I removed the confusing transfer between the two domains. From now on the site is on silent-nation.com and nowhere else. Fog-of-war.net will be parked.
On a side note, I took the time to update Gallery1 to Gallery2. I run a small test setup over at the other site. The way this is going, Coppermine could find itself extinct. Especially with the intergration capabilities with Wordpress and its nifty java remote software. See here for instance how nicely Gallery2 can be made to interact with Wordpress.
