Nice day for a walk

I must confess I’ve been awfully lazy this past term and so far this year. It’s a question of priorities. I figured I would actually try to take academic life seriously for a change. And having been in a comatose state for the last year or so of Social Psychology had given me a renewed interest in the academic world. Put simply, I miss the brisk, long walks I used to take on a regular basis. Even though they for a time would waste as much as a quarter of weekly office hours as it were. This is something that will have to change starting right now. I’ve been doing it twice this week and already I feel the effects, the call of the wild as it were, and the very real solitude that is hard to find any other way. Solitude and peace of mind to restructure ideas and get a fresh perspective. I must really become better at partitioning my time and doing more than one thing at once during any given time frame.

At least I got out there in time before winter loosened its iron grip.
