The reel mower had its seasonal debut and produced surprisingly good results given the burgeoning moss problem and the debris that is always present after the winter. Debris like deer and rabbit droppings (what you get for feeding the blighters), pine cones and god knows what else that can get stuck in the reel. Also, this year I will use natural lawn fertilizer, namely pelleted chicken manure, which is rich in nitrogen (and has a rich odour). I may use up a bag of chemical “Stroller” fertilizer later on but hopefully I wont have to.
The big garden plans haven’t amounted to anything yet. I know, I know.
On a side note, I say it’s time for shorts. No time to waste.
