I got a call from my ISP this evening claiming they had tracked massive amounts of email to my IP, about three weeks ago or something. Since I’m running Thunderbird behind Zonealarm with outgoing email protection and what else that Zonealarm has on all three terminals, I find this unlikely. Running a virus scan now and coming up blank so far. The only possibility I can see right now would be if one of the trusted programs had gone berserk … but “in the millions” … and after all only 1/10 trusted programs are also trusted for sending email, nah, I don’t think so. Also, given my, shall we say downloading regiment, I think I would have noticed the bandwidth drain. Wireless WPA2 hacking can be ruled out as well. I call bullshit on this. Good to know the ISP can’t be trusted to keep their IPs straight. I mean, for us “pirates” and all.
