Gardening etc

Everything seems potted and planted. I got a new Brugmansia specimen (”Angel’s Trumpet”) for the first time since my original cuttings went belly-up a few years ago. It’s a damn shame one doesn’t have a better alternative for storing and preserving plants during the winter.

I’ve been doing some more planning of the retaining block wall project. Seems doable if I can only find the perfect block at the right price.

Also, I did some “house washing” in preparation for a complete repaint. Perhaps I should have gone for pressure washing but I’m wary of its ability to get water into every nook and cranny where it is not supposed to be and so I used an environmentally friendly detergent and the softer jet stream from a garden hose nozzle instead. Hopefully it’s good enough.

Oh, and a note to self. Quit buying cheap tools and materials. It’s never a good deal. I’m sick of the crap that breaks, bends, leaks or fizzles when it’s not supposed to.
