Great year for Yponomeuta sp. (small ermine moths). Not so great a year for the fruit trees. Simply amazing creatures when it comes to defoliations. Luckily I caught the little blighters in time, or so I’d like to believe. I’m somewhat puzzled that the larvae managed to survive the relatively harsh winter though. With the sort of attack I’m seeing right now, next year’s supply of larvae seems to be pretty much a done deal.
