The Helix pomatia (Roman Snail, Burgundy Snail, or Edible Snail) is quite rare so far north even though they are highly resilient in theory. They are of course very common on the continent where they also double as a “delicacy” among the more backward cultures. I have this one locale where I have regularly observed a colony over the last couple of years. The world certainly needs more molluscs.
