The full series ought to be out on R1 DVD right about now (since Sep 26) with sub and dub and whatnot. A proper scene release should appear shortly.

The problem I have with it is the fact that the story makes no sense and it has a very anti-American twist. Most of the major plot points are left out and that leaves you barely enough information to understand what the story is all about. I won’t give too much away in case you haven’t seen it yet but in this version of the future all Goverments are evil and corrupt (with America being some sort of shadow empire)
Welcome to reality baby! So, despite the technological barrage of GITS, the future isn’t all that different from the present after all. In fact it seems exactly like the present. As for the “no sense” part, no one is denying that GITS:SAC is a demanding series. But most people would relish the challenge.
