Just a quick note to say that I was very impressed with the game (video walkthrough). The PC gaming scene has been slow and buggy lately so this came as something of a surprise. This is how all games should be ported. A virtually simultaneous release on both PS3, XBOX360 and PC with similar graphics on all platforms. No one gets shafted, unlike the latest Hulk game port for instance which looked seriously dated on the PC and curiously lacked proper gamepad support. Devil May Cry 4 on the other hand is sleek, smartly designed in terms of navigation, doesn’t lock people up in stupid intro menus and has actual video options. Plus it loads and exits fast and doesn’t crash every ten minutes. Yes, Assassin’s Creed, I’m talking to you.
I guess there is something to be said for the "games for windows" (wiki) brand after all. It does apparently require publishers and studios to smarten up and prevents them from pushing any old crap on consumers.
One caveat though. GFW obviously favors Microsoft hardware. So even though my cordless Logitech Rumblepad 2 does work out of the box, the highly graphical guides throughout the entire game are based on the XBOX 360 controller. And vibration also seems like a no-go at the moment though this may be fixed later on. Theoretically.
On a side note, I’m otherwise pretty pleased with the Rumblepad. Though I have never been able to find a game that actually supports the vibrating feature. And gamepad support generally wasn’t as good as I had hoped for on the PC.
