I would like to write something positive about the only theoretically good game to come out for the PC since forever, but all I get is this upon choosing new game.

Good job Prototype developers. I have no idea what you did but whenever I get this error I’m generally dealing with beta applications. VLC and Battlefield Heroes come to mind. On some rare occasion I’ve had Winamp and Photoshop throw the error as well. But never at every attempt to load the software in question. I can run every other recent game that I’ve tried as well.

Looking at the Prototype support board one realizes that there are tons of serious issues with the PC port in particular. And they say software piracy is killing PC gaming. Right. More like no one dares to buy a game anymore in case it doesn’t work. I’ve been playing games for two bloody decades and I’ve never seen such sloppy work in the gaming industry. And if you ask me the reason for this is clear. In short: Pampering to console gamers, putting their interests ahead of the real world of PC gaming.
