Finally. The Bleach Anime is getting back to its main story with the start of episode 266 and season 15.

I have never in my life seen a show with more fillers and filler arcs. And it’s not like the manga is particularly succinct either to begin with. But with added original story arcs and fillers this show has ruined whatever momentum it once had. It’s painfully obvious when you go back and and watch episodes between 40-60. Before the Bount arc ruined the anime for the first time.

I generally find myself conflicted on the topic of Bleach. When it’s good, like dark, gloomy and serious, it’s amazingly good. Beating out anything else I’ve seen in the sci-fi / fantasy genre. But on the other hand when it’s bad, it’s really bad. It’s so bad you have to build up to even admitting to watching Bleach. On my wishlist: A remake of Bleach, in HD, using only the manga with the iffy bits cut out, aiming for a 50 episode release.
