Summer Sales

Never could resist a good sale. I found these brilliant glass bowls at 50% off at a local store. I’m thinking these will be great for keeping certain plants that like a humid environment. It’s not as good as an aquarium tank obviously, but it is more reasonable and easier to place.

I also had [...]

IKEA Cabinets part 2

Installed and ready. It took two replacements and a great deal of fiddling, but here they are. Around 5000 SEK. Pretty good.

IKEA spring 2008

I finally settled for a pair of high cabinets for the kitchen. The price was unbeatable, and I got almost what I was looking for. Close enough.

I also got a few accessories and trinkets as usual.

Unfortunately, one of the cabinets were damaged and had to be replaced. IKEA is taking care of that [...]

IKEA autumn 2007

I finally got a new swivel chair for the workstation. IKEA Markus, a leather / mesh chair with a high backrest, approved for office use.

Also from IKEA: Jonisk floor / table lamp.

Kitchen Table Group

Nice but pricey.

Kitchen Sneak Peek

Kitchen Table II

Spent the afternoon scouting a new kitchen table. Not much has happened since last time and I’m still searching for the holy Grail of kitchen tables in terms of design and price. It’s always something wrong. Most often it’s the hilarious price tag. Other times it’s veneer or antiquated designs dogging the consumer.

IKEA

Spent the better part of the day at IKEA. It never gets old. Or actually it kind of did on this particular occasion. After a couple of years, you’ve basically gotten all the basics in terms of utensils and rudimentary furniture. I was looking for a bathroom wall cabinet but had a bad case of [...]
