The other Cylinda fridge thermostat failed just the other day. Amazing lack of quality really. Thanks to environment-friendly practises and cheapskating corporations, the average life expectancy for a thermostat these days is about 5-6 years or so. Pretty unimpressive.

How dumb do you have to be to actually plan a shower in a corner with a steep angle? Well, I apparently did. Or that is to say, I didn’t pay attention when the house was planned and built and shit obviously happened. As it stands, this is one of the most obvious problems I’ve [...]
Spent the afternoon scouting a new kitchen table. Not much has happened since last time and I’m still searching for the holy Grail of kitchen tables in terms of design and price. It’s always something wrong. Most often it’s the hilarious price tag. Other times it’s veneer or antiquated designs dogging the consumer.
Spent the better part of the day at IKEA. It never gets old. Or actually it kind of did on this particular occasion. After a couple of years, you’ve basically gotten all the basics in terms of utensils and rudimentary furniture. I was looking for a bathroom wall cabinet but had a bad case of [...]
Not happening. I guess I can count that interior design idea as a no-go. I was really hoping I could do something original with spiral tubes but alas the person I thought would be able to supply me with discounted ducts seems no longer interesting in doing so. I had been in contact with a [...]
Swedish consumer watchdog Råd och Rön did a comparison study of beds for their October printed issue. Bottom line? Beds are hyped and the field is riddled with quasi-scientific claims. From a purely technical perspective, it doesn’t matter which bed or brand you get. For instance, IKEA ranked equal to the much snootier HÄSTENS, which [...]

No kitchen should go without ballers and zesters. Also, I got some more kitchen utensils. New glasses and that kind of thing. Too bad I forgot [...]
I was looking through some new furniture catalogues a couple of weeks ago and found this kitchen table that looked interesting. Actually the best so far. Love at first sight. The only real downside was the price (who would have guessed). And the chairs didn’t really match the audacious design of the table. Plus the [...]
